Teigan’s Story

I lost my Mum to a brain tumour when I was 11. I am now 22, and have always sought out grief charities and been a grief advocate.

I wrote a play recently about the problems behind the stages of grief and took it to Edinburgh Fringe where it received a 4 Star professional review.

Connecting with others through this play in such a creative way has opened up the conversation around such important topics such as death and dying.

I also recently spoke on BBC Womans hour about attachment's to maternal figures due to the loss of my mum, a topic that I have very much been embarrassed about.

The loss of my Mum has driven me to have more empathy and to advocate for others who have lost a parent.
